Dr. Rajnesh Kumar Sharma earned M.Sc. & M.Phil. in Zoology from University of Jammu, jammu, and Ph.D. from Punjab
Agricultural University, Ludhiana. Dr. Sharma joined Kurukshetra University as Lecturer
in April, 1989, and subsequently
elevated to the post of Reader, in 1996, thereafter Professor in CAS in 2006 and then open, 2007. Prof. Sharma served as Chairman, Department of Zoology, from 2006-2009. As Chairman, he brought DST-FIST Grant in Department
of Zoology and introduced three New Programmes i.e. P. G. Diploma in Forensic Science, M.Sc. Forensic Science, and M.Sc. in
Genomics.
Prof. Sharma has a rich experience
of Teaching and Research spanning 25
over years, he has Publish over 130 Research papers, filed 04
patents, attended 40 Conferences, Organized 06 Conferences, organized 02
Refresher Courses, Publish 02 Books, 06 Popular Article, Completed 04 Major projects,
and 02 Major Research Projects are Ongoing. He has Guided 08 Ph.D., 09 M.Phil.,
02 M.Pharma., students, and over a dozen are working under his supervision.
Dr. Sharma was actively associated with establishment of Dept. of Biochemistry, Dept. of Biotechnology,
and teaching of in and Institute
Pharmaceutical Science. Prof. Sharma has been Serving the university as coordinator, Internal quality Assurance
Cell, Coordinator, Add-on Courses, Coordinator, Dr. Radha Krishana Foundation
Fund, Member Executive Council (2001-2003), and Member Academic Council.
He has the honour of being the Subject Expert in UGC, DST, State Commissions, and various
Universities.
